UNITED POWER Mechanical Bolted Lugs are used in switchgear and electrical panels and are mounted with the use of bolts. These bolts are typically inserted through holes in the tang (tongue) of the mechanical terminal lug and the equipment, such as a bus bar, to make sure that there is effective electrical contact and mechanical security.

These Lugs might have more than one cable-port and may be referred to as ‘two barrel’ or ‘three barrrel’ or more, depending on the number of ports. These might have a single mounting bolt hole, or more, in various bolting patterns.
